Bledlow, Buckinghamshire: Award concerning tithes

Award of the Prior and Precentor of Dunstable and the Sacristan of the same, subdelegate of the Prior of Caldwell, appointed by Papal Bull of 27 April 1233 (recited) to mediate in a dispute between the Abbot of Bec and Abbess of Godstow concerning the possession of the tithes issuing from the demesnes of G. Basset and R. de Vespont in the parish church of Wycombe. It was agreed that the Abbot should receive the tithes of the ancient demesnes saving the mother church the thirtieth acre as he has always received, but from assarts the Abbot two parts and the mother church the third part and from all other tithes the Abbot two parts and the parish church the third part.
