Quitclaim by Roger Puttenham of Penne [Penn] to Richard Hulmette of all his right in a field and a wood which abut on the path which leads towards the church of Penne and towards Wycombe, the field lying in length from the wood to the land of Henry Tyler and in breadth from the land of the said Roger to the land of the said Henry Tyler, and the wood in length from a croft called Prestiswyke towards the said path and in breadth between the land of the said Roger and the croft of John Pavyer. Yearly rent 12d.
Witnesses: Richard Drew, William le Kyng, John Vergon, John Tyler, Hugh le Ran, John Pavyer. Penne 13 December 1275.
[die Sancte Lucie Virginis anno regni regis Edwardi primi a conquestu quarto. The word primi has been written over an erasure. Edward I was not usually described primus a conquestu in his lifetime]
Seal, round, 21mm, dark green wax, on doubled tag.
