Bond by William Smyth of Prynces Risborough [Princes Risborough], John Scott of Monken Risborough [Monks' Risborough], William Tryppe of Ilmeyr [Illmire], and William Sergaunte of Parva Kymble [Littel Kimble], co. Bucks, yeoman, to Robert Lupton, Provost, in £100 at Michaelmas next.
The condition of the bond is that if they shall observe the articles in a pair of indentures made on this date between the Provost and the said William (Smyth) the bond is to be void.
Three seals, red wax, on tongues. The tongues of the fourth is torn and and seal is missing.
1) "be me William Smyth. Oval 16mm, MH under a coronet.
2) "be me John Scotte". Round, 16mm, C over a (bucket?).
3) A cross (the mark of William Tryppe?). Oval, 15mm.
