Condition of feoffment by William Olmod of Eton to Osbertus le Tauerner and William Draspere of New Windsor of 2½ acres in Eton. Feoffees are to recover the lands at law or otherwise obtain a title [lucrare per viam placiti seu per aliam viam] at their own expense, and if they fail are to hold 2 acres in Eton at Westes between lands of Walter de Stoke and Oliver de Burdeaux until their expenses are repaid. Witnesses: Thomas le Roter, Nicholas Chewewyk, Ad. in the Lane, three others. Given at Windsor, 1 May 18 Edward III.
