Content description
Grant by Nicholas Walton and Richard Foster to master William Westbury, Provost of the Royal College of the Blessed Mary of Eton, and the college of a croft of land lying between the land sometime of Simon Scy and a place of the King's forest of Windsor called Redehull and the land sometime of William Somery and another place of the forest called Klaphurst, with its appurtenances in the parish of New Windsor, which they had together with John Baylly, now defunct, of the gift of John Avelyn, son and heir of Robert Avelyn.
Witnesses: John Norys, Robert Manfled, esquires, Hugh Ayllewyn, mayor of the town of Windsor, Roger Fassenham and Thomas Broun, bailiffs, and many others.
