Indenture of award, that, whereas William Pury and William Symondes, of New Windsor, co. Berks, gentleman, were assigned on 10 October by Roger Lupton, clerk, Provost of the College of our Blessed Lady of Eton, co. Buks, and the Fellows of the College on one part, and Robert Benet, of Wyndesor, and Clemence, his wife, and Peter Swyfte, auditor to William Sandis, lord Chamberlain of the King, on behalf of the said lord chamberlain, on the other part, to award concerning the title to a rood or yard of meadow in Underowre Felde in the fee of the abbot of Redyng and the arrears of the rent therefrom from the date of a deed written by William Pury whereby Thomas Buknell purchased the premises of Thomas Horsted, concerning the title to a tenement and bakside adjoining the same lying in the parish of Clewer in the fee of the lord of Clewer, and the bounds and fencing of the same sometime called Wollisby which Richard Fawcett late inhabited, and said Pury and Symondes award that the said Robert and Clemence shall occupy and enjoy the rood or yard of meadow in such manner as it expressed in the deed of purchase, and the Provost and Fellows shall pay them for the profits therefrom since the said deed 26s 8d and the Provost and Fellows shall hold and enjoy the tenement and bakside which extends from Brigestrete alias Bisshopstrete on the east to a strete called Bereland alias Newstrete on the west, and from a tenement of Richard Fawcett on the north to a tenement sometime of John Toddes, on the south, and whereas the said Robert has set up a new wall on the north side of the tenement, he and Clemence shall maintain the fence there at their own cost, while the Provost and Fellows maintain it on the south.
