Bloxham, Oxfordshire: Dispute over land
Item
1742
The case of Dr Geroge Freeman, DD of Steeple Aston, concerning a dispute between him and Thomas Gabel, esquire, about six yards of grass in the meadows of Bloxham. George Freeman had purchased the lease of the parsonage of Bloxham from Thomas Cartwright in 1713, and Thomas Gabel had continued tenant until 1737 at which time he left, and not finding the said six yards expressly mentioned in the terrier of the parsonage he had claimed them for himself. 1742.
