Indenture of lease, upon surrender of the previous lease, by the Provost and College to Nathaniel Brent, doctor of civil law and warden of Merton College, Oxford, of the rectory of Compton, from Lady day last for 21 years. Rent 12 quarters of wheat and 5 quarters 5 bushels of malt, or their money equivalent, and £10 16s and one boar to be delivered a fortnight before Christmas or 26s 8d for the same. Witnesses: John Greaves, Thomas Wilcoxon, Henry Saire.
