Counterpart of indenture of lease, upon surrender of a lease to Sir George Philips, and for £800, by the Provost and College to Sir George Richard Philips, bart. of the rectory of Compton, with a rent charge of £13 awarded by the Commissioners for the Commutation of Tithes in lieu of a customary annual payment of £13 arising out of all the lands in the township of Weston. From old Lady Day last for 10 Years.
Rent is 864 gallons of wheat and 405 gallons of malt, £10 16s, one boar to be delivered a fornight before Christmas or 26s 8d for the same, together with an additional £31 10s in consideration of the redemption of land tax.
