Content description
Record of suit, Master William Day, Provost, and the College, of Eton, versus Thomas Handford, late of Elmeden, co. Warwick, a plea of debt. By a bond of the said Handford bound himself in £200 to the Provost if he failed to deliver 30 quarters of malt yearly between St Andrew's day and Christmas to the College until a lease made by the Provost to Daniel Woodward of the rectory of Compton should expire. The plaintiffs claim that the defendant has not delivered the malt, the defendant states that he has. To be tried at the assizes at Stony Stratford Easter 14 Elizabeth.
