Indenture of lease, Eton, by William Westbury, Provost, and the College of Eton, to James Fyt, of Westminster, tailor, of a tenement in Westminster between a tenement of the Abbot and Convent of Westminster on the south in which Walter Stalworth dwells and a tenement of the lessors on the north in which Robert Tyler, baker, dwells and abutting on the King's way in the high road of Westminster to the east and on the west as far as the common ditch of the town, in which tenement William Brownyng now dwells. To hold from Michaelmas next for 50 years. Rent for the first 10 years 20d and for the remaining 40 years 16s. During the first period the tenant is to build a new house 39 feet long and 15 feet broad, with a loft of the same measurements, which house is to be divided into a parlour and a kitchen, between which are to be two chimneys under one mantle of sufficient and suitable height. And the lessee shall take down the chimney in the hall and rebuild it, all three chimneys to be built of brick.
