Grant in frankaloign by Agnes Nerenuit, lady of Peniton, widow, to the church of St Sauveur in the Cotentin, for her soul, the soul of her son William, and the souls of her ancestors and successors, of a 'whicwrc' of salt annually for the monks of Elingeham [Ellingham] from the salt pit which Nigel de Grava once held. The monks may distrain upon the said pit if Nigel or the tenant for the time being fails to pay.
