Stratfield Saye, Hampshire: Confirmation of gift of land

Confirmation by Elyas de Boeles, with the consent of Alice, his wife, to Godard, the hermit and recluse in the hermitage of St Leonard on the Loddon, and the brothers there, of the gift made by William de Stutevill viz: the land which lies in length between the meadow of St Leonard and the land of the miller of Stamford and in breadth from the ditch next the road to the Loddon, which land is called the Frith (Frithum), with 6d which John de Port owes for a tenement which is contained within the Frith, to hold in frankalmoign, saving a reasonable right of the grantor's men whose meadows are next Frithum and the reasonable right of Richard de Trunkewelle at his meadow. Godard and his successors are to pay yearly a pound of pepper.
And confirmation of all possessions which his predecessors or tenants have granted to the same place and, in addition, an acre upon Forerithe which Godard has of his gift.
