Little Tew, Oxfordshire: Tripartite indenture concerning sale of land

Tripartite indenture, between Ralph Marshall, of Buckingham, brazier, (son of Stephen Marshall, late of Chipping Norton, co. Oxford, deceased, and devisee named in the will of John Marshall, late of Little Tew, gentleman, deceased, which said John Marshall was brother and heir of Ralph Marshall, the younger, late of Little Tew, yeoman, deceased, who was son and heir of Ralph Marshall, the elder, late of Little Tew, deceased), and Eleanor, his wife, of the first part, John Wakefield, of Chipping Norton, grocer, and William Turrell, of Witney, co. Oxford, maltster, of the second part, and Samuel Wilmot, esquire, of the third part, whereby for £250 paid to the said Ralph and Eleanor they have bargained and sold the foregoing yard land to the said Samuel Wilmot. The vendors undertake to levy in the Court of Common Pleas unto the said Wakefield and Turrell a fine (sur cognizance de droit come ceo).
