Hercules Raynsford, Tew, to Dr Day, Provost, "Wher I am geve to understand that divers of your tenants yn lyttel tew have geven to you slanderos reports both of Mr Kendall my good neyghbour who hath delt but to welle with them & allso yn ther complaynt the have towched me...". Concerning some disputed land. Reference to an agreement of 1574 between Hercules Raynsford, Richard Rogers, Edward Carter, John Hyerne, Robert Whytynge, Hew [Ryvell], Thomas Crosse, John Fletcher, John Dowse for Great Tew, and Hary Kendall, Robert Russell, John Davy, John Bull, Marten Bull, Edward Lord, Thomas Cottes, Wyllym [Bumpas] for Little Tew, and Robart Logan, the freeholder.
