Newington and Flach Marsh, Kent: Indenture of lease of parsonage and marsh

Indenture of lease by the Provost and Fellows to Alan Wood, gentleman, and Joan his wife, of the parsonage of Newington, with the marsh called the Flache lying in the parishes of Ludnam, Ore and Feversham of the Flache [Flach marsh in Luddenham, Oare and Faversham], reserving to the grantors all woods and underwoods and the advowson of the vicarage of the church of Newington and the chapel of our Lady there otherwise called Robert Purcer’s chapel. From Lady day 1554, or when the lease of John Norton, esquire, shall expire for 30 years. Rent £17 6s 8d and 20 quarters of wheat. Signature of Alan Wood.
