Indenture of lease, by the Provost and Fellows to James Brown, of Margate, gentleman, Ann, his wife, devisee named in the last will of Ann Turner, widow, deceased, her late mother, and John Blaxland, of Fordwich, gentleman, executor of the will of Rev. David Turner, deceased, of the parsonage of Newington, with the marsh called the Flach lying in the parishes of Luddenham, Oare and Faversham, reserving to the grantors all woods and underwoods and the advowson of the vicarage of the church of Newington and the chapel of our Lady there otherwise called Robert Purcer’s chapel. From Lady day last for 20 years. Rent £16 17s 9d, 20 quarters of wheat and 7 quarters 1 bushel of malt.
