Exemplification, of a record on the Common Pleas Roll Michaelmas 40 – 41 Elizabeth (1597); Kent, George Mytton v. Henry James, late of Smardon, esquire, and Simon Grenestrete, late of Ospringe, yeoman, for breaking two closes and theft of grass and called to the total value of £1000 in Luddenham, Oare and Faversham. Defendants claim that the closes involved called Greneacre in Luddenham and Ore and Blackacre in Feversham belong to them. Plaintiff claims that the two closes were the 83 acres called the Flache. The plaintiff is finally awarded £190 damages and £13 costs.
