Sporle, Norfolk: Statement concerning tithes

Statement by John, prior of Sporle and rector of the church of Sporle, that the three acres lying next Fouldonewong are in the parish of Sporle, and he intends to prove that he and his predecessors in the name of the church have been in possession of the tithes therefrom time out of mind; and that the rector of Suthacre [Southacre] despoiled him and his church of the same last autumn in the year 1332; and that he suffered a similar spoliation from an acre of land called Spetellond lying next Rachesnese.
