Chattisham, Suffolk: Extract from Orders of the Lord Treasurer's Remembrancer

11 Charles I Mich. Suffolk. Friday 13 November 1635. Order upon the information of Mr Harrison, counsel for the Provost and College, that one William Dove, a messenger sent by lady Salton, demanded of Richard Flacke, gent., tenant of the College in Chattisham, £41 for the arrears of a rent of 10s 1d said to be due on hs lands, secured a bond from him and took away eleven kine and a bull of his, that a case be made of the true state of the business that the Attorney General may consider thereupon. The opinion of John Bankes, Attorney General, is written, and signed, on the last page.
Endorsed: Uppon Mr Atturnies report and uppon motion, an order was made in Court to deliver Ri:Flack's bond to be cancelled and the lands in Chattesham to be freed and discharged of the rents within mentioned.
