Sale by John Smythe, of London, gentleman, to John Denton, esquire, of all his lands and tenements in Fringford, co. Oxford, of the yearly value of 2s, now or lately in the tenure of John Arden and parcel of the possessions of the late monastery of Burcester [Bicester]. The vendor had the premises inter alia from William Duche, of Little Wittenham, co. Berks, esquire, and Henry Coddenham, of London, esquire, by indenture of 18 July 1563; and they had had the same from the queen by Letters Patent of 17 July 1563. To hold in free socage as of the manor of East Greenwich. Appointment of John Pysley and Thomas Cottesford as the vendor's attorneys to deliver seisin.
