Paper indenture between Thomas Fermer of Somerton, esquire, and the Provost and College of Eton. By indenture of partition and exchange of the same date the Provost and College have agreed that the said Thomas Fermer shall enjoy in severalty his portion of Cottesfeild and Cotesheath, the manor of Cottesford [Cottisford] being leased by the Provost and College to John Arden, whose consent to the said partition, though he gave it, does not appear in the deed of partition and exchange. The said Thomas Fermer covenants that he will not take advantage of the said deed for the space of 4 years. Witnesses: "Thomas Applletre, John Yate, John Arden".
