Counterpart of indenture of lease by the Provost and College to John Hart, of Cotsford [Cottisford], gentleman, of the manor of Cottisford, with all its appurtenances in Cottisford and Fringford. From Michaelmas last for 21 years. Rent 22 quarters of wheat and 6 quarters 3 bushels of malt, or their money equivalent and £17 16s 10d.
Witnesses: "Richard Hewes, John Hollenshed sub regr". Signed "J. Harte"
Endorsed: This deed was shewed unto Richard Hewes at the time of his examination in Chancery on behalf of Hester Enderby, widow, and others, complainants, against Edward Andrewes and others, defendants.
Doubled tag with traces of red wax seal.
