Cottisford and Fringford, Oxfordshire: Indenture of bargain, sale and assignment of lease of manor

Indenture of bargain, sale and assignment, for £600 by John Lenthall, esquire, high sheriff of the county of Oxford, to Lawrence Lord, of Fritwell, co. Oxford, gentleman, of the lease of 23 April 1660 to John Harte [of the manor of Cottisford, with all its appurtenances in Cottisford and Fringford]. By virtue of three writs of fieri facias dated 28 November last, viz, on behalf of Edward Butterfield for £200 debt and 60s costs and twice on behalf of Peter Paxton, for the same sums, the said sheriff had seized the goods and chattels of the late John Harte, gentleman, now in the hands of Edward Andrewes, gentleman, and Anne, his wife, executrix of the testament of the said Harte.
