Title
Cottisford and Fringford, Oxfordshire: Letter concerning enclosure
Level
Item
Date
11 March 1777
Content description
J.R. Greenhill, Cottisford, to the Rev. Dr Roberts, apologising if his action with regard to the enclosure has seemed precipitate. Mr Davis, acting for Mr Cooke, had sent him, just after he had posted his letter of 13 February last to the College, a blank petition to Parliament saying that 17 February was the last day petitions would be received by parliament. He had filled the same in at once, and it had passed on for Mr Fermor and Mr Cooke to sign. He had not though the College would want to be informed.
