Copy of petition of Sir William Cope, Knight, and baronet, to Sir Francis Bacon, Knight, Lord Chancellor, pleading for a postponement of the hearing of the suit in which he is defendant and the Provost of Eton, plaintiff, as he is dangerously sick at Oxford. A note by Bacon that the suit is to be postponed till the next term.
