Miscellaneous notes, many of them in Savile's hand, made in the preparation of the College case.
In one case the Provost has made notes on the back of the following letter:

Harey [Zinzan] to Sir Henry Savill ".. the ocasion of my being thus troublesom to you is to intret your favour and furdrance to the sonn of the bearar heareof Nickles Bowes whoe hath a sonn that goeth to skoll at Etonn this barar was a servant to the Earle of Eseckes in France and nowe liveth on a poore well wisher of them that loved him that is ded. I pray be favourabll to the poor child for his sack. Sur I hope you will pardon me for being thus bould to presume of your kind favour that am now forgoten to you. I was the Earle of Eseckes page when he went into France generall so hoping of your favour in this my umble request for the poore child I leave you to the almightey and rest your poor frend to comand".
