Weedon Bec, Northamptonshire: Indenture of lease of manor

Indenture of lease for 6 years by brother Peter de Falco, prior of Okebourne [Ogbourne], attorney general of the abbey of Bec in England, to William in the Combe of Chyselden [Chisledon], of the manor of Wedon [Weedon Bec] with the fruits and tithes of the church there and all other appurtenances, reserving to the lessor the advowson of the vicarage and the profit of the woods.
Rent, to be paid at Ruisshlep [Ruislip], for the first two years £50 sterling each year and for the remaining four years £60 each year. The lessee to keep the buildings in repair and to maintain a woodward at his own expense. For the greater security of the lessor, recognizance by the lessee of £60 to the lessor by statute merchant. Doubled tag with traces of red wax seal.
