Indenture of lease, by the Provost and College, for £316 17s 8d to the said John Bird, now of Flushing in the parish of Milor, co. Cornwall, yeoman, the said Samuel Osborn, of Great Everdon, yeoman, Thomas Pearcy, of Welton, co. Northants, farmer, and the said Joseph Brown Goodman, of Clerkenwell, timber merchant, of the manor of Everdon. The premises are now described as follows: the site of the manor of Everdon, with all buildings appertaining to the manor house, 2 closes called Flax land pasture, containing 40 acres 2 roods 12 perches, a newly enclosed plot containing 1 acre 3 roods 15 perches, laid open to the said closes, 3 closes in a place heretofore called Weedonside now called Lord's Leys Marsh otherwise Lord's meadow and Woolrushen otherwise Little Meadow containing 23 acres 2 roods 16 perches, 2 close called Roddy Furlon and Moore Close or Meadow containing 27 acres 1 rood 9 perches, 2 closes in a place heretofore called Snorscomb side now called Moor Furlong and Moor Meadow containing 15 acres 6 perches, 2 other closes in the said place containing 16 acres 1 rood 38 perches; all the said parcels having been allotted to the lessors by the Enclosure Award of 10 May 1765. From old Lady day last for 20 years. Rent £4 14s and 9 gallons of wheat and 720 gallons of malt, together with £13 12s 5d in consideration of the redemption of Land Tax.
