Blakenham, Suffolk: Indenture of lease of site of manor

Indenture of lease by the Provost and College, upon surrender of a lease to George Brame, of St Margaret's Ipswich, Riding Surveyor of the Window Lights, to Peter Skipper, of Little Blakenham, farmer, of the site of the manor of Blakenham on the water with all the demesne lands, meadows, pastures and feedings pertaining, and all arable and other lands in Blakenham Baylham and Claydon or elsewhere belonging to the manor, with fishing, fowling, hawking, free chase and free warren, together with Blakenham Hall Wood containing 16 acres 2 roods and 12 pole, and Highfield Wood and Kings Meer Hill Wood containing 10 acres, with the manor house and all other edifices; except the advowson of the church, the keeping of courts and the profits therefrom, waifs, strays, felons' goods, fines, heriots etc and all timber and trees. From old Michaelmas last for 20 years. Rent 18 quarters 1 bushel 2 pecks of malt and 7 quarters 1 bushel of wheat and £13 16s 8d and one boar or 20s in lieu of the same. Witnesses: B.
