Counterpart of Indenture of lease, by the Provost and College, for £240, to John Peacock, of Great Blakenham, gentleman, of the site of the manor of Blakenham on the water with all the demesne lands, meadows, pastures and feedings pertaining, and all arable and other lands in Blakenham Baylham and Claydon or elsewhere belonging to the manor, with fishing, fowling, hawking, free chase and free warren, together with Blakenham Hall Wood containing 16 acres 2 roods and 12 pole, and Highfield Wood and Kings Meer Hill Wood containing 10 acres, with the manor house and all other edifices; except the advowson of the church, the keeping of courts and the profits therefrom, waifs, strays, felons' goods, fines, heriots etc and all timber and trees. From old Michaelmas last for 20 years. Rent 1309 gallons 2 quarts of malt, 513 gallons of wheat, a boar or 20s, £13 6s 8d. Witness: Robert Wood, junior.
