Blakenham, Suffolk: Draft letter concerning court rolls
Item
10 November 1782
Draft of letter from Thomas Barnard, Eton, to Mr Paske. The College, much dissatisfied with Mr Paske's repeated delays has given orders for a Bill of Chancery to be filed. "I am desired to inform you that they have no concern whatever with Mr George Paske, that you were their deputy steward, to you their Court Books etc were delivered, and from you they expect their restitution. However, if without any farther delay you deliver the Court Books etc to Mr Coldham of Bury and an exact account of the fines etc and a good bill for the money, proceedings on the Bill will be stopped."
