Eton, Buckinghamshire: Indenture of lease

Indenture of lease, by the Provost and College upon surrender of her former lease, to Jaccoment Wright, of Eton, widow, of a messuage or tenement with stable, backside and garden adjoining and all cellars, sollers and other appurtenances, in Eton, between a tenement late of Peter Windsor, esquire, deceased, on the south and a tenement of the College on the north and the King's highway on the west. For 21 years from Lady Day last. Rent 20s and 2 fat capons or 4s.
The seal and tag have been cut away.
Endorsements:
(1) Undertaking, 5 September 1673, by the lessee not to give away or assign the lease until her daughter Dorothy has been paid back £10 borrowed for the renewal of the lease.

(2) Assignment, 7 February 1681 - 1682, by the lessee to Thomas Anstead, of Eton, husbandman, and Dorothy, her daughter, now the wife of the said Thomas, of the lease.
