Creeting, Suffolk: Indenture of lease

Indenture of lease, by the Provost and College, to John Ryvers, of Creeting St Marie, upon surrender of his former lease, of two mills in Creeting, one being called "the haute mylle" and the other "the fullinge mylne", with certain meadows and hams adjoining. Rent £6 8s 10½d and 4 quearters 6 bushels of wheat and 6 quarters 4 bushels 2 pecks 1 gallon of malt or their money equivalent. From Lady day last for 21 years.

Seal, round, 6mm, red wax, on doubled tag. A rose.
Endorsement that the meadows and hams and marshes are as follows:
one long meadow lying on the west side of the river containing 7 acres.
one meadow called the marsh wherein is a tynt containing 8 acres.
4 hams whereof 2 lie adjoining the hawlt mill, the other 2 adjoining the fulling mill, containing in all 3 acres.
