Creeting, Suffolk: Indenture of mortgage

Indenture of mortgage, by the Provost and College to the Archbishop of Canterbury and others of the manor of Creeting St Mary for securing £3497 10s 0d and interest.
The College seal, papered, on doubled tag.
Attached is a note from the bursar, of the same date, to the Directors of the Clergy Mutual Life Assurance Society requesting them to pay the foregoing sum to Messrs. Hoare of Fleet Street.
Endorsement:
(1) of the same date, by Messrs Hoare of the receipt of the money.
(2) of 11 July 1893, by which the then trustees of the Clergy Mutual Assurance Society acknowledge that they have received all principal money and interest due in respect of the foregoing indenture. Signed by Edward White, archbishop of Canterbury, Randall Thomas, bishop of Rochester, Arthur Perceval Purey Cust, dean of York, and Benjamin Frederick Smith, archdeacon of Maidstone.
