Philip Garrard, to the College. It is not the fault of him or his landlord Partridge if so many trees have been cut down by Mr Richerson. The man who cut them down was a carpenter, John Upson, of Needham, who said "he would cut them doune in spight of my landlord Partridge teeth and mine". "In Cromwelles dayes then they cut doune what they pleased and noe body durste say nothinge to them because he was a captaine of that side".
