Grant by John South Torkeys, of Ditton in Stokepogeys, to John Schepherde and Alice, his wife, of Langel' Mareys, of an acre of arable in Langel', half an acre on Bromfurlong in breadth between the land of Thomas in the Hale towards the east and that of Richard Tauntlon towards the west, one head abutting on the land of the queen towards the south and the other head on the cultura called Slofurlong between the land of Thomas in the Hale towards the west and that sometime of Walter Rabbe towards the east; which he had of the gift of William Broun and Elizabeth, his wife, by a fine levied in the Common Pleas.

Seal, round, 16mm, red wax, on doubled tag. A shield in raised outline, the sides extended upwards in pennons, and an upright rising out of the top of the shield from a looped device in the middle of the shield. A legend.
