Probate before Roger Hord, commissary of the archdeacon of Buckingham, of the will, dated 11 December 1497, of John French, of Heggeley, in the parish of Farnham Verdon. Lands in Farnham Verdon, Heggeley, Becunsfeld and Stoke. Legatees named, his wife Margaret, his sons John, Robert, Richard and Roger, his daughter Joan. His executors to be John Lorkyn, of Becunsfeld, Gilbert Frenche, of Heggeley, John French, his son, and Margaret, his wife. John French, of Stoke, his brother, to see that his will is faithfully carried out.
Witnesses to the will: dominus John Webster, curate there, Gilbert French, Margaret French.
