Content description
W Roberts, Eton College, to the Rev Mr Betham, Greenford. The case has been tried, and only oral evidence was admitted, in which Pitt had the advantage. For Webb swore that the pieces of land in question belonged to Grafton's and the "Judge and Jury were determined by his evidence to give a verdict against the College." The land is lost. Determination in future never to renew a lease again without a terrier.
