Counterpart of lease, by the Provost and College to Sylvester Church, of Penn, tyle maker, of a tenement called Morwents with a tylehowse and a tile kylne therin with a garden and croft adjoining in the parish of Wickham, with other three closes or pittles in the same parish called Well Crofte, Cabells and Hogges Whytes, in the same parish, and also a close at Tilers grove called Hopkins in the parish of Penn, late in the tenure of John Church, the grantee's father, deceased. From Michaelmas last for 11 years. Rent 6 quarters 1 bushel of malt or its money equivalent.
Mark of lessee.
Seal, oval, 17 x 13mm, red wax, on doubled tag. A bad impression.
