Counterpart of lease, by the Provost and College to Joseph Benwell, of Eton, mercer, upon surrender of his former lease, of a close of meadow in Eton between the King's stables on the south and a close heretofore of Thomas Windsor, esquire, deceased, on the north, and also a parcel of ground formerly part of the said close now laid out into a garden adjoining the late dwelling house of Mary Scotton, containing within the brick wall and other inclosure of the garden from the brick wall towards the house 21½ feet and across over the garden 82 feet; and a wear in the eyott and a house thereon etc. From old Lady day last for 20 years. Rent 33s 4d and 4 bushels of wheat and 2 quarters 5½ bushels of malt or their money equivalent.
