Property in Buckinghamshire: Indenture concerning college buildings

Indenture witnessing that William Lynde has delivered to the Provost certain Letters patent and other evidences concerning the buildings of the college viz. Letters patent of 16 February 1442 [Calendar Patent Roll 1441 - 1446 p.54]. Granting to William, earl of Suffolk, Henry Sever, Provost, and others issues from the custody of the lands late of William Bodrigan, Knight, and two writs of liberate, and Letters Patent under the seal of the Duchy of Lancaster of 8 February 1443, and Letters Patent of 5 March 1442 granting inter alia to the said earl and others 3000 marks, by virtue of which there has been received by William Lynde and John Carpenter 1300 marks and there remains in the hands of John Hampton, esquire, 100 marks, and in the hands of John Troutbeck, chamberlain of Chester, 100 marks, and above this there is to be received for the said building £1000.
