Royal Patents: Grant of tenement in Eton

Grant in frankalmoign to the Provost and College of Eton of the site of a tenement in Eton sometime of Geoffrey Chapeleyn, lying between the King's way which leads through the middle of Eton on the east and the land of the College called Persons Hurne on the west and the land sometime of Nicholas Waddon now leased to Thomas Jourdelay on the south and the land of the College called Lynkcroft on the north; which site the King had of the grant of Hugh Ayllewyn alias Dier, of New Windsor, William Heyward and John Jourdelay, son of the said Thomas Jourdelay, by a deed dated at Eton 5 May 1455. Given at Westminster, by the King.
