Royal Patents: Grant of messuage in Yenston

Grant in frankalmoign to the Provost and College of a messuage, a carucate, 26 acres of land, 7 acres of wood and 6 marks of rent in Endeston [Yenston], co. Somerset, sometime of the alien priory of St Sever, which Henry Barret held for seven years from Michaelmas 18 Henry VI, at a rent of £7, and of a rent of £7 18s 5d paid by the prior of Suthwyk [Southwick], co. Southampton, for the farm of Colemere after the death of Humphrey, duke of Gloucester, the reversion of which was granted to them by patent of 25 March 1441, and of a weir called Hornedewere in the Thames with the fishery there, which John Borkyn held for life, the reversion of which was granted to them by patent of 21 January 1445, to hold from Michaelmas 1455. The premises had come into the King's hands by an act of resumption in the parliament held at Westminster in 1455. Given at Westminster by the King.
