Royal Patents: Grant of rents, manors and lands

Grant in frankalmoign to the Provost and College of Eton, in order that they may pray for the good estate of the King and queen Elizabeth, his consort, of the hospital or house of St John the Baptist of Dorchestre [Dorchester], co. Dorset, a yearly farm or pension of 80s which the priors of Goldeclive [Goldcliff] used to pay from the ancient impost due to the chief of that priory beyond the seas, £26 13s 4d a year which the prior of Farlegh alias Farle [Monkton Farleigh] used to pay to the nuns of Mortiginacum alias Mortigamatum [Marcigny] for the farm and pension of the manors of Welby [alias] Welleby and Navenby, co. Lincoln, Slaghtneford [Slaughterford] and Minton, co. Wilts, £11 6s 8d from the same farm and pension in addition to the said £26 13s 4d, a farm, pension or rent of 40s a year from the impost of the priory of Tykford by Neweport Paynell [Tickford by Newport Pagnell], co. Bucks, a farm, pension or rent of £4 a year from the ancient impost of the alien priory of Folkestone, co. Kent, the manor or priory of Hanginglangford [Hanging Langford], co. Wilts, formerly pertaining to the alien deanery of Morteigne, the alien priory of Brimmesfeld [Brimpsfield], co. Gloucester, and all lands, rents and services in Middleton, co. Wilts, sometime pertaining thereto, all lands in Endeston [Yenston], co. Somerset, formerly of the alien priory of St Sevor, the alien priory of Modbury, co. Devon, with all its members and appurtenances, the alien priory of Cowyke [Cowick], co. Devon, with all members, lands, rents, services, advowsons, pensions, portions, imposts, tithes, oblations, fruits and emoluments pertaining thereto, the priory or manor of Blakenham, co. Suffolk, sometime parcel of the alien priory of Okebourne [Ogbourne], the alien manor or priory of Povington with all lands, rents, services, pensions and portions in Melbornbeke [Milbourne Stileham] and Charleton, co. Dorset, and all other lands, rents and services pertaining thereto, the priory of St Helen in the Isle of Wight, co. Hants, a yearly farm, rent or pension of 12 marks which the prior of the priory of Montacute and his successors are bound to render to the King yearly from the ancient impost lately pertaining to the chief house of that priory beyond the seas, all lands, rents and services in Northmundam [Mundam], Compton and Wolegh [Wheely, Warnford], cos. Sussex and Hants, sometime of the abbey of Lucerne in Normandy, a water-mill at Goryng [Goring], co. Oxford, sometime parcel of the alien priory of Okebourne, and the manor of Wedonbeke alias Wedonbek [Weedon Bec], co. Northampton, sometime parcel of the same priory; to hold the above, with knights' fees and advowsons, together with the reversion of the hospital of St James by Westminster in the diocese of London, and the perpetual custody of the same, upon the vacation of Roger Malmesbury, King's clerk, the present warden. Given at Windsor, by privy seal.
