Royal Patents: Grant of vicarages

In consideration of the lordships and manors of Clatforde [Clatford], co. Wilts, and Milbornebeck [Milbourne Stileham], Lutton and Povyngton [Povington], co. Dorset, and other lands of the Provost and College of Eton granted to Henry VIII by Robert, bishop of Carlisle, Provost, by deed of 20 December 1546, and in fulfilment of the will of the King's father and a tripartite indenture of 1 June 1547 between the King of the first part, the Protector Somerset and the other executors of Henry VIII's will of the second part and the Provost of the third part, and for £25 6s 3d paid to the Treasurer of the court of Augmentations, grant to the Provost and College of the rectory and advowson of the vicarage, of Great Compton, co. Warw., late of Thomas Cromwell, earl of Essex, attainted: the rectory and advowson of the vicarage, of Bloxham, co. Oxon., late of Godstowe monastery; tithes and lands in the tenure of Thomas Jefferaye and Alice, his wife, in Mylcombe [Milcomb], Bloxham, Newnton, Mylton [Milton] and Barforde [Barford], co. Oxon., late of Godstowe monastery; the rectories and the advowsons of the vicarages, of Okeleye [Oakley] and Bromeham [Bromham], co. Beds., late of Caldwell monastery; and all appurtenances of the aforesaid rectories in Thurlebye [Thurlby, Thirlby], co. Linc., Great Compton, co. Warw., Bloxham, Mylcombe, Newnton, Mylford and Barford, co. Oxon., and Okeleye and Bromeham, co. Beds.
And whereas by Indenture under the seal of the court of Augmentations, of 15 June 1537, the King's father leased to Thomas Tholmewood the rectory of Thurlebye, co. Lincs., late of the priory of nuns by Stamford, (except two cottages with curtilages, the ponds called Ises, and all wards, marriages, escheats, reliefs, great timber and woods and the advowson of the vicarages), from this Michaelmas preceding for 21 years at a rent of £18 8s grant to the Provost and College of the reversion of the said rectory of Thyrlebye (with the said exceptions), and the whole said rectory of Thirlebye with all its appurtenances and the advowson of the vicarage, late of the nunnery of Stamford.
The sald rectories are extended, Thyrlebye at £18 8s, Great Compton at £18, Bloxham at £26 3s 4d, Okeley at £11 16s 8d, and Bromeham at £8 3s 4d.
To hold to the said Provost and College and their successors in chief by the Service of the fortieth part of a Knight's fee. Rent, for the premises in Thyrlebye 36s 10d, Great Compton 36s, Bloxham 52s 4d, Okeleye 23s 8d, and Bromeham 16s 4d, to be paid at the court of Augmentations in full satisfaction of all tenths, first fruits and other exactions. The grantees to enjoy all issues since Michaelmas last. With exoneration from all corrodies, rents, annuities etc. upon the premises except yearly rents of 3s 4d from Okeley to the bishop of Lincoln, 40s from Bromeham to the vicar there, 2s 6d from Bromeham to the bishop of Lincoln, and 14s 2d from Bromeham and Okeley for synodals and procurations. Given at Westminster by privy seal.
