Cookham, Bray and Maidenhead, Berkshire: Indenture of agreement

Indenture of agreement further to a grant by Andrew called le Smyth, of Cokham, to William de Borgthone, vicar of the church of Cokham, of two acres of arable, of which one lies in a field called Le Lythtlond between land of Roger de Braye on the south and of William le Bray on the north, and the other in a cultura called le Markwey between land of William Phelip on the south and of Simon Phelip on the north, extending to the east upon a meadow called Bassemere and to the west upon the King's way leading from the manor of Cokham to the manor of the Abbot of Cirencester, together with a headland at the east end, in Cokham (as set forth in a deed of feoffment, which has been delivered to the keeping of Thomas de Maydenhuthe) by which it is now agreed that the grantee shall hold the same from the feast of the Annunciation 7 Edward III to Michaelmas next ensuing and thence for 12 years.
