Indenture of grant by John Cooke, of Maidenhuth, to William Spelyng of a place of land between a curtilage of John Elyngton on the east and the King's way leading from Cokham to Wike in Braye on the west, extending to the south upon the King's way leading through the middle of the vill of Maidenhuth and to the north upon land of the grantor, containing in width at both ends 30½ ft. of the foot of St Paul, in Cokham. Rent 3s 4d silver, and a heriot of 2s silver on the death of a tenant and a reasonable relief for all other services.
