Quitclaim by John Hereward, of Cokham, to Thomas Gernon, John Michel, John Marescal and John Budde of all his right in two messuages, four crofts, two acres in the common field of Cokham, 16d rent and 2 days' work with one man in the autumn (arising from a messuage, which James Touwe, of Cokham, now holds) in Cokham, at a rent of 2d silver, whereof one croft called Hogesfotescroft lies between land late of Nicholas Thurstayn on the south and land formerly of Roger Eldewell on the north, a second croft with two messuages lies between Hogesfotescroft on the south and the wood called Inwode on the north, the third and fourth crofts with one messuage lie together between a wood of John Hereward on the west and the King's way, which leads from the tenement of the said John Hereward to the wood called Bygefryth on the east and the said two acres lie in the cultura called Shepecoteforlong between land of the said John Hereward on the west and land of Henry Pynkeneye on the east; all which Walter de Wodemankote, of Cokham, formerly granted by feoffment to Thomas his son, from whom they descended to his son Thomas and from him to Henry Budde, as brother and heir of the said Thomas, who again gave them to John Budde, his brother, from whom they descended to Thomas Budde, as son and heir of the said John, from whom they reverted to the said Henry Budde, who granted them by feoffment, together with other lands and tenements, to John de Maydenhithe, Thomas Gernon and John Wynchecomb, clerks, who enfeoffed John Budde, son and heir of the said Henry Budde, with the same, who enfeoffed, together with other lands, Thomas Gernon, John Michel and John Marescal, clerks, with the same and now John Budde occupies the said tenements at the will of the said Thomas, John and John Marescal.
