Cookham, Bray and Maidenhead, Berkshire: Indenture of lease

Indenture of lease by Thomas Hakker, son and heir of William Hakker, late of Maydenhith, and John Hakker, brother of the said Thomas, to Andrew Tye, citizen and vintner of London, of the reversion of lands etc. [? in Maidenhead], which Agnes Buddyng, lately wife of William Hakker, and mother of the said Thomas and John, holds for life, (which lands etc. formerly belonged to William Hakker, their father), for a term of 60 years, at a rent of a red rose at the feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist [24 June], if required. If the said Andrew is given peaceful possession, he promises that an obligation by statute of the Staple, whereby the said Thomas and John are bound in £50, shall be null and void.
